the National Holiday in Iceland
that commemorates the 75-year long Prohibition
that officially ended on March 1, 1989.
Upon hearing of this momentous event
we were compelled to join in the celebration.
We do so in the Spring Time every year.

The 2008 Iceland
Beer Day celebration was a rousing bit of fun, food and fellowship. New
and veteran ibd'ers attended, as a 12 hour window of good weather
blessed
IdleWild.

ibd KIDNAPPING
As reported at this year's ibd,
In 2007 one of our parking signs was "kidnapped." Within a week of the 2007 ibd, a letter and picture of the "victim" was sent.
Later in the evening of the 2008 party a new letter was received, as seen above. It reads: "Proof of Life; More will become known to you soon; We need wine, women and song."
The ibd-ab (Iceland beer day advisary board) will play, but we have no way of making contact-- we just await more instructions. Let's get it on.
EVEN MORE DISTURBING NEWS
The offical ibd flag (Iceland's beautiful national flag) was taken the night of the 2008 ibd IdleWild celebration. This flag is dear to all ibd'ers as it was a special gift from Iceland.
If this is part of the Kidnapping Saga, then, we need more information.
